Sea monster attack teams!

We've organized the teams for the sea monster plot, which will take place on Day 102 (Aug. 15-17). We ended up with five people being kidnapped, and they each have a set group of rescuers. ICly, the characters can either happen to team up with whoever they wind up standing next to/swimming next to, or they can make a plan beforehand and swim out, or whatever you like, really.

The sea monster: We're leaving control of the monster's tentacles to you guys in your individual threads, so please note the following information. The head and main body will be far back from the action, and the monster will fiercely protect itself if anyone goes after its head. You can try, but ultimately you'll only be able to free your victim. One of the reasons this is possible is that the monster is capable of severely poisoning anyone, resulting in paralysis if the monster is angry enough. This poison would affect all characters, regardless of healing powers or immunities. Other potential injuries are what you'd expect from being squeezed by strong tentacles that have sharp ridges here and there.

Kidnappee: Riley
Rescuers: Balthazar*, Meyer, Derek
*Not sure if he was officially volunteered; it's okay if not, we can take him out!

Kidnappee: Charles
Rescuers: Erik, Clint

Kidnappee: Alec
Rescuers: Raphael, Samandriel

Kidnappee: Shiala
Rescuers: Dean, Jo

Kidnappee: Donna
Rescuers: Wallie, The Doctor, Castiel

Remember that character death is a distinct possibility, and you're welcome to it if you want to go there. Please use the comments below for plotting with your team, or plurk, etc.

Aw yeah. That's right.

Any ideas for how injured/not injured you might like her to get? By the monster, I mean, not by her amazing rescue team.

Serious frown face at her rescue team owing her.

But I'm okay with some serious damage. Since the poison and the ridges will hurt her, I'm okay with her getting pretty badly hurt. Not saying no to a death, either.
recognize_an_opportunity: (thats fascinating really)

Iiiinteresting. This should be exciting. =3

I'm pretty sure Balthazar's going to be a big NO vote on Riley dying. =|

I haven't had the pleasure of playing with Derek more than just the intro post, so this should be fun =)

Come help save her, Meyer. You can get some good karma points and.. um... she'll catch you some fish.

Yeah, I don't think Balthazar will approve of any death occurring during said rescue mission. Especially not Riley's.

He'll totally come help. Gun in hand, a couple recently broken ribs to contend with, but nothing he can't manage. Shooting the sea monster will be deeply satisfying. And he wouldn't say no to some fish, either.

She'll feel obligated to give her rescuers fish and/or whatever she catches when she hunts. (Don't ask where the meat comes from, Meyer. Lizard is meat too.)
recognize_an_opportunity: (fine i'll listen)

[personal profile] recognize_an_opportunity 2013-08-11 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, if it's edible, he'll eat it. He's not picky. He'll figure out how to cook lizard, I'm sure.

Riley will be nice and clean and cook it first. She knows how squeamish some people can be about their meat. =)

But first, you gotta save her not-so-furry ass. Though I'm debating on having her shift to try to get out of the tentacly clutches while she's kidnapped. What say you?

Aw, how nice of her.

I think it'd be pretty darn interesting to have her shift. That'd give her more sharp claws and whatnot to fight the sea monster, so I can see why she would.

[personal profile] undomesticated 2013-08-11 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
That'd be why she'd shift. The fur might help keep the spiky ridge bits from hurting her too much and she can claw/bite (or try to), but she'd probably save that until she thought she was getting dragged in for good, especially if she knew that humans were around.
recognize_an_opportunity: (Where are you going with this?)

[personal profile] recognize_an_opportunity 2013-08-11 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm always down for that kind of thing, since it'd be interesting, and probably result in at least this particular team member making the face that's pictured in his icon, so.

They'd have to have a 'talk' after. I'm not sure how close the teams are going to be and who might see what.
recognize_an_opportunity: (who me?)

[personal profile] recognize_an_opportunity 2013-08-11 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh man, and the potential for awkward talks? This plot just keeps delivering, and it hasn't even happened yet.

If she shifts, she'll probably come out naked (if she doesn't come out dead). Be a gentleman about it, Meyer.

He'll politely avert his eyes and offer her something to cover up with. Possibly while turning a bit red and muttering some kind of awkward apology.

Good man. If she dies, he can cover her body.

[personal profile] recognize_an_opportunity 2013-08-11 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
He would. He's got your back, Riley. Even if you're dead. Which hopefully, you won't be.

Balthazar votes no, naturally, but his player is open to drama, so whatever you think best. ;)

If everyone's okay with it, I sort of want to play it as it goes. I don't want to say yes/no to anything right now since it might not play out the best for whatever.

(Sorry, my brain still hurts so my words are bad)

I'm definitely saying a yes to her getting badly hurt, but I don't want to commit to dying or not yet. If that makes sense.
